Purpose: To report a case of anterior uveitis in a patient diagnosed with Budd-Chiari syndrome and Behcet's disease.
Case summary: A 28-year-old man came to the clinic for decreased visual acuity of left eye 3 days ago. The patient had recurrent genital, oral ulcers and dyspnea with acute thromboembolism, obstruction of hepatic vein and inferior vena cava and was diagnosed of Budd-Chiari syndrome and Behcet¡¯s disease 1 year ago. His visual acuity was 20/125 on left eye and posterior synechiae with inflammatory membrane and cells (3+) were observed with slit-lamp microscopy. After treatments of topical steroid eyedrops and subtenon triamcinolone injection combined with systemic corticosteroids, immunosuppressive drugs and anticoagulants the patient¡¯s visual acuity and anterior chamber reaction showed improvement. The patient is maintaining systemic corticosteroids, immunosuppressive drugs and anticoagulants and no recurrence has taken since 3 months after the first visit.
